Friday Oct 16: Chicken Piccata

$125.00

Join us for a hands-on cooking class inspired by a restaurant favorite: Chicken Piccata from Burton's Grill. We'll recreate the bright, flavorful dish and pair it with herbed basmati rice, roasted broccoli, and a rustic apple crisp for dessert.

This class is designed to help you build foundational cooking skills that make preparing delicious meals at home easier and more enjoyable.

We'll begin with a guided grocery-shopping experience, where you'll learn how to select quality ingredients and make smart choices about where to spend—and save—your grocery budget. Then we'll head to our barn in Earlysville for a hands-on cooking class where you'll put those skills into practice.

Together, we'll prepare:

  • Classic Chicken Piccata inspired by Burton's Grill

  • Herbed Basmati Rice

  • Roasted Broccoli

  • Rustic Apple Crisp

Along the way, you'll learn essential techniques including basic knife skills, how to properly prepare and cook chicken, and how to time and sequence multiple dishes so everything is ready at the right time.

Your Experience

5:15 pm — Guided Grocery Shopping (optional)
Meet at Harris Teeter in Hollymead Town Center, Charlottesville, where you'll learn how to select quality ingredients and make smart grocery choices. We'll purchase the ingredients for everyone to share.

6:15 pm — Hands-On Cooking Class
