Hi, I’m Sue and I have a simple goal: creating delicious, satisfying meals in the midst of a busy life. With a background in engineering and optimization, I approach cooking as both an art and a problem to solve—refining recipes to deliver upscale flavors in a practical amount of time. More than anything, I value gathering with family and friends around the table, sharing meals, and connecting through everyday conversations.

Sue Chef cooking classes were created to share that experience with you.

Cooking classes are held at our barn near Charlottesville, VA. Each class is designed to help you discover ingredients, techniques, and shortcuts that elevate your home cooking without adding complexity. We believe great food doesn’t have to be complicated—just thoughtful, approachable, and full of flavor.

Whether you're new to the kitchen or looking to expand your skills, our classes will give you the confidence to prepare delicious meals and the joy of sharing them with others.

Friday June 12 Pan Seared Salmon

Join us as we prepare pan seared salmon with lemon and garlic sauce, herb roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach, and mixed berry crisp. Makes 2 servings. Price reserves one workstation that accommodates 2 cooks.

Cost of ingredients will be shared between participants (estimated $35 per workstation).

5:15 pm optional pre-meal food shop: meet at the Charlottesville Whole Foods for grocery selection tips as we purchase ingredients for everyone to share
